vestibular rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation is the treatment of imbalance, such as dizziness or vertigo, that can be caused by a concussion or disorder, helping you to return to a normal life.
Inner ear or central balance pathway disorders such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) are common reasons people seek vestibular rehabilitation. Signs and symptoms of BPPV include:
-
Nystagmus—eyes that are "clicking" back and forth at a quick rate.
-
Loss of balance—feeling as if you are on a boat or swaying.
-
Dizziness when you change positions, such as rolling over in bed, tipping your head back, turning your head.

We can help treat BPPV using the Epley Manuever to re-position the "crystals" out of the semi-circular canal and back into the correct position in the utricle aspect of the ear.
